Feta pasta salad uses a nice blend of tomatoes, olive oil, fusilli pasta, black olives and feta cheese to deliver a healthy and satisfying Greek meal. It is also one of the simpler dishes to cook because the hardest part is boiling the pasta in water over the stove. Most amateur cooks at least know how to do that with ease. But when you cook the fusilli, make sure you use salted water because that will add flavor to it. You may even want to use a splash of olive oil, so that the fusilli doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pot. After 12 minutes of boiling, drain the pasta and let it cool off like normal. Now is time to prepare the ingredients that get mixed with it.

            You’ll need about one pound of diced tomatoes, six chopped sun-dried tomatoes, 1 cup of black olives, and one pound of diced feta cheese. Once you have the ingredients chopped or diced, then all you have to do is mix them in with the cooked fusilli pasta. This is basically the whole meal right here. Now you may want to prepare your own dressing, but it will be a healthy dressing that blends well with the pasta. What you do is take a food processor and put inside of it the vinegar, olive oil, garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, salt and pepper. Let it mix until it becomes a smooth liquid. Then pour the new liquid dressing over the feta pasta salad you just prepared. Now you are ready to eat the meal and enjoy the fruits of your labor in its preparation. As you can see, the only cooking knowledge you needed to know was how to boil pasta and use a food processor. This allows you to prepare a healthy delicious meal fast, and is very easy to teach others as well.

            Feta pasta salad may sound like an Italian meal because of the fusilli. The part that makes it Greek is the feta cheese, which is a Greek invention. The cheese is derived from goat’s milk and sheep’s milk, and is the most popular cheese in Greece. Many of their main and side cuisines contain feta cheese. If the feta pasta salad did not have any feta cheese, it would taste completely different. So the label of it being a Greek meal is appropriate for this reason.
